Community Outreach

One of Love the Children Foundation’s main goals, is to make a positive impact on the community. The orphanage staff and volunteers spend time doing home visitation in the villages to the poorest families bringing food, conversation, and prayer. We also conduct feeding and Spiritual enhancement activities to various depressed communities. We hope to expand and continue this ministry through our volunteer program and the blessings God brings.

CHRISTMAS TRIBAL OUTREACH 2011

The Tribal people of the mountainous areas of Marilog, Davao City were so much thankful for the joy and blessings they have received last Christmas season made possible through the outreach activity of Love The Children Foundation.

During the event, the orphanage extended some clothing, rice, food packs and a special Lunch that was truly enjoyed by everybody. Almost 200 children, youth and adult benefited the said activity.

It was so much fulfilling to see faces with great smiles, to hear thankful words, see them inspired by our children's testimonies and to know that even for a day they have tasted good meals and went home so much excited for the clothes they have received.

It was surely a day that they would always remember because they were remembered... and the orphanage is so much positive for more opportunities to make a difference to more lives through the help of people who would wanted to partake for this cause.

PRECIOUS SMILE PROJECT

This project aims to help individuals both from the orphanage and the depressed communities who have suffered extreme inferiority due to frontal teeth problems like decays and cavities to achieve their best smiles by sending them to dentist and have their problems fixed. They are those who are incapacitated to visit the dentist due to economic insufficiency. We know how precious the smiles are for everyone and how it affects their social interactions, confidence and everyday living.

The Impact...

I am Mary Joy Caballero and I am the eldest child amongst the 6 children in our family. We are living in a shanty home at a relocation area in Marapangi, Toril, Davao City.  I am so much thankful to God that he has given me a very special gift through Love The Children Foundation. Before, I have a lot of Tooth cavities and decay especially with my front teeth. It was so hard for me to share my best smile and my self esteem is very low. But because of their help I was able to go to the dentist and have my dental problem fixed. If not because of their help I could not imagine a day that I could have regain my best smile. My parents’ income is just enough for our food, daily needs and for me and my siblings’ education, we don’t have spare amount for needs like visiting to the dentist and in my life it was the very first time that I was able to go to a dentist.
Now, I could share my smile to everyone and I am now confident to talk to other people especially to my friends. That’s why I am so much thankful for how Love The Children helped me and brought changes in my life. I am so much inspired now to study well and be a blessing to everyone. I would never forget this and be forever thankful to the Lord for all these things.
