Livelihood Projects

Love The Children Foundation initiated various livelihood projects that will help address the foundation's sustainability and will be an avenue for our children to acquire livelihood skills useful in preparing them for independent living. Furthermore, this will also give opportunity to various out-of-school youth from the community to procure jobs that will help alleviate their situation.

Recently, we have formally opened the Love Nuts Display kiosk at the NCCC Mall
activity area where our Peanut products ( Peanut brittle and Peanut butter) which our children passionately made are sold and displayed

The Impact...

My name is Leah Del Rosario, presently residing in Bangkal, Davao City. Before I was just a plain housewife. I am just at home taking care of my child. One day a door opened for me when Love The Children Foundation gave me a job as a sales representative for their Peanut Brittle livelihood products. It was truly a big help for me. My husband is just a driver and so his income is just enough for our primary needs like food. Because of my work, we have now additional income which we could use especially during emergencies like when my baby was sick and we need to purchase medicines. If we solely depend on my husband’s income we could never provide for the other needs of my family but because of my work now, I could spare some amount for other needs that are usually neglected.

And also, a very important blessing that came into my life is when Love The Children Foundation helped my teeth to be fixed by a dentist through its Precious Smile Project.  The fact that Love The Children is an orphanage and they have a lot of children to take care, I never expected that they could notice my situation. Now, I gained the self confidence to face many people as it is also much needed with the nature of my work. I could not explain how thankful I am to God for coming to know Love The Children Foundation who have extended their help to community mothers like me.
