Community Outreach (May 2011)

One of Love the Children Foundation’s main goals, is to make a positive impact on the community. The orphanage staff and volunteers spend time doing home visitation in the villages to the poorest families bringing food, conversation, and prayer. We also conduct feeding and Spiritual enhancement activities to various depressed communities. We hope to expand and continue this ministry through our volunteer program and the blessings God brings.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES GIVING

It was such a great joy to see the children filled with smiles as Love The Children Foundation handed some bags with school supplies during our community outreach at Baliok, Talomo Davao City last May 29, 2011. As the school year will soon commence, we knew that providing their school supplies would be a burden to these children from depressed families and we believe that this would be of little help for them. We hope and pray that through these little blessings, they could enjoy and excel on their studies as they reach towards their dreams.

The Impact...

The Epil siblings: Jerica Cris, Aubrey Cris and Cherry Cris (left to right) were some of the many community children who received bags and school supplies from Love The Children Foundation.

The Epil family is residing in Baliok, Davao City. With our conversation with the mother Mrs. Cristita Epil, she said that the school supplies and bags that her children received greatly helped her children's study. Her husband only goes home once a year from his work in Zamboanga Del Norte.With their economic situation they need to prioritize other needs like food. She said she only added some supplies which was lacking rather than purchasing all out of her own pocket. The siblings are so much encouraged and are doing their best in school.
